Summative Write up
My goal for the summative was to have a reel of pictures of me and my friends using a big piece of paper that has creases in it in a photo shop file so that I could use the camera to be able to move it around and take different angles. The software I used for this project is Adobe After Effects, Using a the things I learned over this year and last year, I was able to create pictures that reveal on the page almost like ink. I used a feel good kind of song to go with the with the kind of scrap book video.
Spaceship At fhci
SpaceShip at FHCI from Hisham Malas on Vimeo.
I took a video of the back field at our school. I then took the district 9 space ship and using photo shop I cut out the ship from one of the movie posters. Then in After Effects I used the built in motion tracker to track the movements of the camera and linked it to the space ship. I added a lens flare behind the space ship to give the ship a glow. Using a negative effect in After Effects I switch it back and forth to the sound track as if something is gone wrong and then cut to black.
Lamborghini Render
For this I got a 3-D model of a Lamborghini Aventador using a 3rd party plugin called trap code form, to change the 3-D model of the car into hundreds of particles, using a sound track I got the particles to react with the music with both size and a little colour. For this Project I would have like to make the car spin to see everything.
LOgic Ballin' Music Video render
Logic Ballin from Hisham Malas on Vimeo.
For my music video I used Trap code from and created two spheres that reacted to music with both size and moving outward from the center of the spheres, by changing the frequency at which the spheres react I was able to create the perfect amount of reaction from the music track, which is Logic Ballin' one of my favorites song, I then noticed that the middle of the spheres were too empty so I added a subtle lens flare to the center to give it more of a glow. I used a background of a city that went with the particles from trap code and chose the colour straight from the background
